Abstract

Approach is our starting point or point of view of the learning process. The term
approach has similarities with a learning strategy. Method is a method used to
implement plans that have been prepared to achieve optimal. This means that the
method is used to realize the predetermined strategy. The success of implementing
learning strategies really depends on how the teacher uses the learning method,
because a learning strategy can only be implemented through the use of learning
methods. (Abdul Majid: 2012: 125) While the technique is a way that someone
does in order to implement a method. This research is a type of field research
research (field research) using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection
techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis
techniques use several stages of data triangulation which include: data reduction,
data presentation, drawing conclusions. The approach to learning Education and
character in class VIII SMP N 3 Dempet is a scientific approach as for the
scientific steps, it is appropriate to be presented in the form of activities including
observing, asking questions, collecting data, associating, and communicating.
The learning strategy of Religion and Character Education at SMP N 3 Dempet is
to use inquiry learning strategies where learning is centered on students. Although
the learning strategies used are sometimes still teacher-centered, the methods,
media and approaches used are different, this is adjusted to the material being
taught.
