This study is based on research gap, the result of Ergun et al's (2004) study found that proactive variable has an effect on innovative performance. However, Halim et al's (2015) study shows that proactive variable has no effect on innovative performance. And organizational Innovativeness and SMEs are often unable to achieve performance innovativeness. Then SMEs Batik innovation is done follower, it means the product appears in other areas relatively new, then a little modification. Therefore, this study aims to develop innovative performance improvement models based on network quality and proactive.
Given the limited population size, the sampling method uses the census method, meaning the population is the same as the sample. However, the questionnaire returned because it was incomplete and damaged and which can be analyzed by 36 respondents.
The study findings show that to realize innovative performance improvement model based on the quality of network and proactive of SMEs Batik in Semarang city, the main priority is in the effort to improve innovative performance through proactively constructed network quality.
