Abstract
Law No. 35 of 2009 on narcotics states that narcotics has two sides as a drug or a useful material and as a harmful ingredient. The circulation of narcotics in Indonesia in this era of globalization has made it even more apprehensive for the nation's generation. This is evidenced by the black market of narcotics trade. Such circumstances make the state apparatus or the police as the authorities in the eradication of criminal acts Narcotics have a very important role in preventing and overcoming narcotics crime.
Problems in this thesis: (1) How is the effort to overcome the narcotics crime in Kendal County Resort Police at this time? (2) What are the obstacles and solutions in overcoming the narcotics crime in Kendal District Police?
Approach method used in this research is empirical juridical approach, that is searching data come from juridical aspect, research result and facts in field.
The results of this research are: (1) Effort Effort of Kendal Resot in overcoming illicit traffic and abuse of narcotics in Regency of Kendal that is by doing effort of pre-emtif (coaching), preventive (prevention), repressive (action), and curative (healing). (2) Obstacles in Narcotics Control In Kendal County Police Law District includes experts from the Kendal Resort police force, lack of law, new modus operandi, dark market network (disguised), and low public participation.
Suggestion in this research is for Police expected to continue to improve its performance in effort to overcome illicit traffic and abuse of narcotics in Regency of Kendal. For parents to keep children from the dangers of drugs, especially narcotics, improve communication with children, and make clear rules in the family. And the community to better participate in preventing and combating the circulation and abuse of narcotics.
