Abstract

In this research, the objective of the study was to investigate the success factors of speaking skill learning in Pondok Pesantren Daar El-Huda Tangerang. This study was categorized as a descriptive research, because it is to investigate and describe the success factors of speaking skill learning in Pondok Pesantren Daar El-Huda Tangerang. The subject of the study was 81 students were taken using stratified random sampling from class 1 = 23 students, class 2 = 17, class 3 = 18, class 4 = 10 students, class 5 = 8 students, class 6 = 5 students and two English teachers. The technique used in collecting the data is observation and questionnaire.
The finding of this study showed that there are some main factors that affect the success students’ speaking skill. Some of them: (1) both students and teachers have good attitude towards English itself; (2) Students have high motivation in learning English; (3) Students always participate all of the activities and competitions related to the English language; (4) Teachers always encourage the students to speak in English; (5) Pondok Pesantren Daar El-Huda has good learning style and curriculum; (6) and Pondok Pesantren Daar El-Huda also has comfortable buildings for studying and also provides complete facilities to help the students in learning the language as a language laboratory and library.
