Abstract

Keywords : Illocutionary Speech Acts, Perlocutionary Speech Acts, Two Blue Line Novels by Gina S.Noer.
Language as a communication medium that has an important role to do the process of interacting, in interacting certainly has the purpose of speech in order to produce something that the speaker wants to achieve. Seeing the importance of the role of language in an interaction in human life, for that we need to understand speech acts so that we succeed in achieving the purpose of speech. This research focuses on illocutionary acts and perlocutionary acts because in both speech acts there is an action or the results of the utterances spoken. The selection of the novel Dua Garis Biru by Gina S.Noer in this study because the novel is an educational sex story, of course the sexual education story needs to be introduced to the readers, because there is a lot of positive learning that can be taken. The data of this study were taken from dialogue quotations from the players of the Two Blue Line novels. The selection of this research method is a qualitative descriptive method, refer to the technique and continued with the note taking technique as a data collection technique. The results found 64 data types of speech acts of illocutionary acts, which included 16 representative data, 32 directive data, 15 expressive data, 7 commissive data, and 6 declarative data. Meanwhile, the types of speech acts of perlocution were found as many as 22 data, which included 14 data of the response of positive response, 9 of data of response of negative response, and 6 data of non-responsive perlocution.
