Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to analyze the presence or absence of indications Moral Hazard In
Mudaraba and Murabaha Financing In Islamic Banking in Indonesia. To measure indicative
of moral hazard is to use variable NPF. If the NPV is high, then there is an indication of
moral hazard, but if the value of the NPF is low, then it does not happen indication of moral
hazard on Islamic banking. The population in this research is syariah banking in Indonesia in
the period from 2007 to 2012.
The sampling method using purposive sampling technique. With the criteria that
Islamic banks are already enrolled in Islamic Banks. Islamic banks to publish quarterly
financial statements during the period 2007-2012. Islamic Bank has a complete data based on
the variables studied. The data taken is data that produces a positive return value. So the
number of samples that pass several measures are defined and used is 3 Islamic banks namely
BMI, BMSI, and BSM. The analytical tool used in this study is multiple linear regression and
using SPSS software. The independent variable of the study is the growth of GDP, compared
Mudharabah Ratios Return Return Total Financing (RR), and the ratio of Murabahah
receivables compared Allocation Return Total Financing (RF).
The results showed that the GDP (X1), has a negative and effect shows that Islamic banks in terms of macroeconomic not happen indication of moral
hazard. RR (X2) has a positive and significant effect of the NPF. Positive influence means
that Islamic banks indication of moral hazard occurs on mudharabah financing. Whereas in
RF (X3) had positive but not significant to the NPF. No significant it means that the variable
has no effect on the RF NPF. So the RF variable not enough evidence to present indications
of the presence or absence of moral hazard on Islamic banking. In general it can be concluded
that Islamic banking in Indonesia tend to choose products murabahah a smaller risk than
financing. In murabahah financing risk of moral hazard is lower than financing. Bank more
focus on murabahah financing so as to better carry out maintenance of the debtor in
murabahah.
