Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of education level, business experience, on business performance through intervening variable that is financial literacy. the purpose of the study is to determine the ability and financial knowledge of owners of small and medium enterprises of processed milkfish in Semarang city. The sample of this research is 50 pemilk UMKM processed milkfish in semarang city. Data collection was done by division of questionnaire and test using analysis path. The sample method uses purposive randem sampling. The result of the research shows that business experience variable have positive and significant influence to financial literacy, and financial literacy variable has positive and significant influence to business performance, but the variable of education level and business experience is not proved to have significant influence on business performance, education has a negative but insignificant effect on business performance. The findings of this high level of education does not affect financial literacy.
