This study is about the analysis of the Racial Discrimination happened in America around 1960s that portrayed in Green Book movie. The purpose of the study is to know how does racial discrimination experienced by the main character and the negative impacts of it.
In analyzing the study, the study used descriptive qualitative method. The Green Book movie is the primary data in this study, in collecting the data, the writer used the secondary data, they were taken from the journal, book, essay, and articles related to the theory of Racial discrimination.
The results of the analysis show that Dr. Don as the main character in the movie has experienced Racial discrimination done by the white people America during his tour concert. He had been separated and cannot access public facilities freely. He also gets unfair treatment and judgement due to his different skin colour. The study also assumes that Racial discrimination gives the negative impacts toward mental health such as stress, anxiety, sleeplessness, and easy to get angry. Indeed, for the main character’s general well-being such as lower self-esteem, lower life satisfaction, and low happiness.
