Abstract

ABSTRACT

The research was distributed by the high number of traffic accidents in jurisdictions of Polres Rembang. There are three parts that are interconnected with the occurrence of a traffic accident, namely: the driver, the vehicle, and highways. The biggest cause of the accident was caused by human factors (the driver), the cause of the accident was done due to the highway primarily vehicles is much smaller influence. This research focused on the role of the Polres Rembang in an effort to decrease the number of accidents that have occurred.
The research was discussed using theories and concepts as the blade's analysis with a review of the library consists of about views about the role of, an overview of the police force, an overview of the traffc accident, accident unit Role Polres Rembang, safety legislation and regulations of the road.
This research was conducted with descriptive qualitative approach, using the method of the approach of one shot approach is an approach in studythat conducted by using a one-time data collection on "someday".
The research found that the Satlantas's role in addressing the problem of RembangPolres traffic accidents in Rembang has been running pretty well.Besides being in charge of regulating the traffic flow so smoothly, traffic police also provide referrals, the program promotes Safety riding, reminiscent of the completeness of the drive, reminding of salvation.
Based on the results of the study, there were some factors restricting in tackling high rates of traffic accidents in the region PolresRembang, consists of Internal factors and external factors. Where the internal factors that come from within the police force itself, namely: human resources and infrastructure, mentality and behavior.As for external factors that become barriers to PolresSatlantasRembang in tackling high rates of traffic accidents in the region PolresRembang, consists of: factors of ruling themselves, law enforcement factor, factor means or facilities community factors, and cultural factors.
