Abstract
The objective of the research was to find out whether the use of cartoon film improve students’ speaking ability in narrative text in SMA Islam Sultan Agung 3 Semarang in the academic year 2017/2018. The design of this research was experimental research. To collect the data, the writer used pre test and post test. The data analyzed by using SPSS. The result of the data showed that sig.(2-tailed) .004 less than .05. It meant that there was a significant difference between control class and experimental class. It could be concluded that Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted. Therefore, there was a significant difference of the students’ speaking ability between the control and experimental class.
