Abstract

Background Performance is the behavior displayed by people involved in an organization based on a work evaluation system. The performance of a nurse is strongly influenced by workload both physically and non-physically. The purpose of identifying the relationship between workload and nurse performance in the general treatment room. This research method uses a descriptive correlative design with cross sectional using total sampling and using the chi- square test. The results obtained the results of most respondents aged 26-30 years with 27 (38.6%) respondents mostly female gender with 44 (63%) respondents most respondents S1 education level with 38 (54.3%) respondents most of the heavy workload of 47 (67.2%) respondents most of the performance is less than 32 (45.7%) respondents and using the chi-square test obtained a p-value of 0.001 means there is a relationship between workload and nurse performance in the general treatment room of Sari Asih Cipondoh Hospital, Tangerang city. Conclusion There is a relationship between workload and nurse performance in the general treatment room of Sari Asih Cipondoh Hospital, Tangerang city. Suggestions performance is not only influenced by workload, but other factors so that further research needs to be done to examine other factors that affect performance.
