Abstract
This final project examined the Secret Obsession movie. There are two aims of this final project. The first aim is to describe Ryan's Obsessive Love disorder towards the Target of his Obsessive Love disorder. The second aim is to analyze what characteristics exist in Jennifer as a Target of Obsessive Love disorder. This final project were used qualitative descriptive methods as a research method to answer the research question. The primary data used in this study was Secret Obsession movie, and the movie script. The secondary data included e-books, journals, research articles, and websites. This final project found out that character Ryan experienced Obsessive Love disorder seen that he is willing to do anything to the partner, feel overwhelming sense of protection towards the partner, and exhibited extreme jealousy. As a Target of Obsessive Love disorder, Jennifer shows several characteristics, Jennifer experienced feeling suffocated by the partner's behavior, feeling like a hostage by partner's pursuit, feeling afraid that the partner may hurt the target or become self-destructive, feeling threatened violence by the partner or become violent, and feeling the partner checked up the target whereabouts and also followed by the partner.
