Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out and describe students’ perception about the impact of their sleeping habit to their academic achievement. The research design was descriptive quantitative design. The sample group consisted of 106 university students in a private university in capital city of Central Java, Indonesia. The instrument of this study was semi-open questionnaire. The quantitative data came from the Likert Scale on questionnaire and also supported by the reason on it. The data was tabulated by descriptive analysis on SPSS program v.23.0. The research findings was most of the students’ agree to the statements that sleeping habit impact to their academic achievement. It showed on the descriptive statistic from item 1 to 10, most of students chose Likert scale 4 which means they agree to the statement. Also there were some students who did not agree to the statement. Therefore, based on their perception, a good sleeping habit influenced the students focus to more understand the lessons, think critically, and help more participate actively in class. Therefore, a good sleeping habit has a good impact to their academic achievement. For the students who had opposite opinion stated that academic achievement depended on student’s ability and their willingness to learn the lessons.
