Abstract
This research was conducted to find out the perception of university students towards their learning environment quality. Explanatory mix method was used in phases using semi-open questionnaire. The subject of this research was English Department Studentsat private Islamic University in Semarang on academic year 2016/2017. The total sample was 86 students from the total population 292 students. The result had shown the most of students perceive their learning environment had a good quality, it was proved by the percentages from the two main variables; (1) Campus facilities and atmosphere reached 42.36% in the 4thcolumnit was said that the students were satisfied with the campus facilities and atmosphere, (2) The result in Teacher-Student’s Relationship reached 41.62% in 4th column, it was said that the teachers and the students were in positive communication between each other, (3) The peer relationship showed balance results between 3rd column (26.74%), 4th column (31.00%), and 5th column (26.68%), they perceived that peer relationship were neutral, it could affect their academic motivation or couldn’t, the aspects which measured are: the motivation they got from their peers and their perception towards their classroom experiences. From those results it can be concluded that the students perceived their learning environment quality is satisfying in most aspects.
