Abstract
Children is a national asset that must be protected in this case children in conflict with the law to avoid the adverse impact of the criminal justice system who are already familiar with sentences of imprisonment. Country by Law shall provide legal protection to children who committed the crime so that the right to grow not stuck due to the criminal justice system less partial to the future of children, issues raised in this thesis is how the concept of restorative justice-related juvenile justice system in Indonesia, how the implementation of restorative justice in juvenile justice at the District Court Wates, Kulon Progo and what the challenges and solutions of the implementation of restorative justice in juvenile justice in the State Court Wates, Kulon Progo. The method of writing of the problems that have been raised legal approach method Juridical Sociological, or legal research sociologically is an approach by examining the secondary data and then examines the primary data produced in the field by conducting interviews with the District Court Wates, Kulon Progo related with the implementation of restorative justice. Legeslatif policy which is taken in order to protect children in conflict with the law, namely by Law No. 11 of 2012 on Child Criminal Justice system is in accordance with Indonesian culture and ideology Pancasila. The concept of Restorative Justice and Diversion very precise in resolving cases of children in conflict with the law. This concept involves all parties to deliberation with the aim of a full restore for children, prevent children from adverse effects of the criminal justice system always puts the best thing for the child and avoid imprisonment, placing children in social institutions especially for children who will nurture and shape a child into a better in a period of a sentence would be a positive impact for children to return to normal and grow well.
