Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of the principal's managerial ability and teacher pedagogical competence on student learning achievement at MTs Darunnajah Ulujami, Pesanggrahan District, South Jakarta. The principal's managerial ability, which includes planning, organizing, directing, and controlling, is an important aspect in creating a conducive educational environment. Meanwhile, the teacher's pedagogical competence, which includes understanding students, designing learning, implementing learning, and evaluating learning outcomes, is a key element in an effective learning process. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. Data were collected through a survey involving students and teachers as respondents, then analyzed using multiple regression techniques to test the effect of independent variables on dependent variables. The results of the study indicate that the principal's managerial ability has a positive and significant influence on student learning achievement, with a visible contribution to the effectiveness of school resource management, such as teaching staff, facilities and infrastructure, and administrative governance. Teacher pedagogical competence also has a significant positive influence on student learning achievement. Teachers with high pedagogical competence are able to understand students' needs, create interactive learning, and utilize technology to improve the quality of learning. Simultaneously, the principal's managerial ability and teachers' pedagogical competence contribute significantly to improving student learning achievement. The implication of this finding is the importance of developing managerial training programs for principals and improving teachers' pedagogical competence through continuous education and training. Thus, collaborative efforts between principals and teachers can be an effective strategy in improving the quality of education and student learning achievement at MTs Darunnajah Ulujami.
