Abstract

Keywords: read aloud, sparing words The focus of the study was to improve the skills of reading aloud through the media pias-pias kata in Grade II students of SD Negeri 1 Telawah. The type of research used in this study is class action research, a form of study or scientific and methodical activities carried out by teachers/researchers in the classroom using actions to improve learning processes and outcomes. The research was conducted in Grade II SD Negeri 1 Telawah Karangrayung District, Grobogan Regency. This study was carried out for 6 months, in May-September 2022. The subjects of this study were Grade II students of SD Negeri 1 Telawah, Karangrayung Sub-District, Grobogan Regency for the 2022/2023 academic year, totaling 16 consisting of 8 male students and 8 female students. Data collection used in this study using two techniques, namely test and non-Test. The instrument in this study was used to see how far the media pias-pias kata impact on students ' ability to read aloud. Class action research procedures carried out in two cycles, namely cycle I and Cycle II, in the first cycle has not been successful and continued Cycle II. Based on the results of actions that have been carried out in two cycles and the indicators that have been set, it can be argued that, PIAS-pias kata media can increase student activity in the process of learning Indonesian, especially reading aloud, PIAS-pias kata media can help students in solving problems in the learning process, and Pias-pias kata media can improve reading skills in Indonesian subjects, especially reading aloud in Grade 2 SDN 1 Telawah. Based on the results of exposure from the results of class action research that has been carried out there are several things that researchers recommend that teachers be creative in preparing learning implementation plans and implementing innovative learning on Indonesian subjects, namely using varied methods and approaches and appropriate learning media in accordance with student characteristics, subject matter, student conditions and existing facilities and infrastructure. In addition, teachers should always improve their professionalism in order to improve the quality of Education. Therefore, teachers must always make changes in implementing learning
