Abstract

Kamilatuzzulfa, 31801900026. Teacher’s and Students’ Perception in the Implementation of Independent Learning Curriculum at SMA N 1 Weleri. A Final Project: English Education Department, Faculty of Languages and Cummunication Science, Sultan Agung Islamic University. Advisor: Nur Ekaningsih, S.Pd.,M.Pd Learning is the interaction between teachers and students in such a way that the teacher explains a material and students understand it. While the curriculum is an educational program provided for student learning. This research was conducted to find out how the perceptions between the teacher and students related to the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum at SMA N 1 Weleri. This research involves 11 participants; a teacher and 10 students of SMA N 1 Weleri, Kendal, Central Java. Research data collected through interviews and giving open ended questions then analyzed qualitatively. The results of this research found that most teachers and students strongly agreed with the implementation of the independent learning curriculum in their schools, they admitted that they were very happy when learning to use technology, and more project, but there were also challenges for them, especially in the use of technology, and even boredom when learning takes place. This research can be a reference or recommendation for the government in implementing the Independent Learning curriculum in Indonesia.
