Abstract

This study aims to find out the students’ perceptions toward online English Learning in using Google Meet During the COVID-19 pandemic era at the twelfth grades of SMKN 1 Demak. The subject of this study were 228 students. This study used a descriptive quantitative research design. The instrument in this study used a closed-ended questionnaire. Based on the findings, the results showed that perception related to the dimension of accessing technology with a percentage score of 76.45%, perception related to the dimension of teaching material with a percentage score of 68.53%, perception related to the dimension of atmosphere or learning environment with a percentage score of 66.33%, perception related to the dimension of students’ interaction with a percentage score of 73.93%, and perception related to the dimension of finance with a percentage score of 74.39%. It can be concluded that the students’ perceptions toward online English learning in using Google Meet during the COVID-19 pandemic era are positive perceptions. It means that students can adapt and adjust to all the dimension in the online English learning process in using Google Meet. Keywords: Perception, online English learning, Google Meet
