Abstract
Abstract The earthquake that occurred on the island of Central Sulawesi, the city of Palu with a magnitude of 7.4 SR / MW triggered liquefaction. Likuifaksi is a symptom of leaching of loose sand mixed with water due to earthquake shaking where the trigger force exceeds the force possessed by local lithology in resisting shocks. This study aims to determine whether the City of Palu has potential liquefaction. The analysis of liquefaction potential in Palu City the author uses data from the results of research by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Central Geology Agency for Central Water Resources and Environmental Geology. In addition, the data that have not been found in the results of our research use various types of journals, dictates and books related to liquefaction. The author designed a layer of soil using the Geostudio 2012 Software Program (Quake / W) and then entered earthquake data (time history) in horizontal earthquake record and vertical earthquake record. Modeling uses land data located in Palu City. Based on the results of the analysis on the Geostudio 2012 Software Program with the Quake / W sub-program, results were obtained on all ground water level depth liquefaction. On 2.2 m ground water level liquefaction occurred at 4 seconds, 6.2 m ground water level liquefaction occurred at 4.2 seconds, 10.2 m ground water level liquefaction occurred at 4.5 seconds. Keywords: Earthquake, Liquefaction, Geostudio 2012, Ground Water Level.
