Abstract
Streetscape is a linear space bounded by the road itself and the front of the building on a row of buildings, walls and others in the Corridor Jalan Pandanaran Semarang City. Problems related to streetscape include issues Laying signage, Function pedestrians changed functions for street vendors, parking lots and multi-storey buildings. Based on the above problems, the importance of this research is to know the character of Streetscape Corridor Jalan Pandanaran Semarang City. The purpose of this thesis research to find out the Character of Streetscape Corridor Jalan Pandanaran Semarang City. To achieve these objectives, several analyzes were conducted, such as Visual Analysis of Road Corridor, Street Furniture Element Analysis, and Characteristic Analysis of Building Façade in Pandanaran Road Corridor. In this study using a rationalistic qualitative deductive approach. Stages done in doing this writing is through the stages of preparation, stages of data collection both in primary or secondary, processing stages and data presentation, data analysis phase, and the final stage of the preparation phase of the report. Pandanaran Road Corridor connects the intersection of five with Tugu Muda area, is the center of trade and services in the middle of Semarang city. Streetscape Character of Pandanaran Road Corridor found from several processes and targets, so that the streetscape character that emerges is the Pandanaran Road Corridor as Road History, Pandanaran Road Corridor as the center of trade and services, Pandanaran Road Corridor as Route, Pandanaran Road Corridor as Street View, Road Corridor Pandanaran as Street Furniture, Pandanaran Road Corridor as Road Wall (Building Façade).
